Gran Paradiso is known for its Tuscan-inspired architecture throughout the community. The moment
you drive through the grand entrance with 24 hour manned security you know you are in a special
community. The first thing you notice is the stunning amenities center. The gorgeous resort style pool
with a vast lounging patio area with tables and chairs for enjoying the sunshine before you take a swim
in the lagoon pool. An active lifestyle is easily maintained with the tennis courts, pickleball courts, and a
fitness room. Getting to know your neighbors is easy with the billiards room, craft rooms and a
playground too. The neighborhood streets, with their Italian inspired names, wind through the
community as do the golf cart paths. The golf cart paths can be used for walking, jogging, and bicycling
too. The community also has regular get togethers, plus there are groups like book clubs, and card
playing groups featuring Euchre, Poker, etc. Construction in the community is complete which means no
more noisy construction going on in the community. It also means the HOA is governed by the residents.
One nice perk of the community is the HOA cares for the lawn maintenance! The homeowners are not
required to mow or mulch, that is covered by the HOA dues. All a homeowner is required to do is enjoy
the Florida lifestyle and there are homes to fit all kinds of lifestyles. There are condos/coach-homes,
townhouses, smaller single-family homes to large estate homes.
Gran Paradiso is in the West Villages District of Wellen Park. Wellen Park is a planned development that
includes a variety of gated communities. Across the state of Florida there are other planned
communities but Wellen Park offers what others do not, its proximity to the Gulf of Mexico. There are
about a half a dozen beaches within 13 miles of Wellen Park. As if being close to the Gulf of Mexico
wasn’t enough, Wellen Park created a 70-acre lake for the residents to enjoy kayaking and canoeing on
(it’s Florida so of course there could be alligators in the water) plus there are trails for walking, jogging
and biking. Wellen Downtown is built around the lake giving it a waterfront vibe. There are shoppes and
restaurants overlooking the water plus more to come on the horizon. There is even a splash pad for the
little ones and a large green space to enjoy evening concerts. The Atlanta Braves found it so attractive
they have built their Spring Training stadium in Wellen Park. Attending a spring training baseball game
on a Florida spring day is a good day. Wellen Park and its communities were designed and created for all
to enjoy the best of what southwest Florida offers.
