Pelican Point Golf and Country Club community was developed in the mid 1990’s by Sam Rogers. The community covers 1000 acres with mature trees and winding streets. This neighborhood comprises of just over 1300 homes, the majority which are single family but there is a small section of paired villas, too. There are three nine-hole golf courses with the first two built in 1995 & 1996 and the third one Hatchet Creek built in 2001. The 27-holes of golf are known for its “playability” making suitable for the novice players and providing a satisfying challenge for seasoned golfers.
One of the draws of this community is its reasonable HOA fees which typically run in the mid $300 monthly range and NO CDD in this community. That nominal fee grants residents access to the restaurant, the community pool, tennis courts and YES PICKLE BALL courts, plus all the social activities. There is even the convenience of having your lawn cut for you although flower beds are your canvas for gardening. For avid golfers, you can join the golf club. Oh, and the community has something very special, a women’s group you can join called the Pelican Point Women’s Association or PPWA. The women plan all types of get togethers and fun activities. Pelican Point does maintain a 24-hour manned gate for added security and the community is open to residents of all ages.
This beautiful community has a fabulous location within Venice offering numerous attractions. Pelican Point is about 5 miles from the Gulf of Mexico and quaint downtown Venice, residents can enjoy coastal living and explore the vibrant local culture. Less than 9 miles to Wellen Park and the CoolToday Stadium where the Atlanta Braves Spring Training takes place. Pelican Point is a community where the Florida lifesytle is at play.
