North Port

North Port is a small growing town in the middle of everything Southwest Florida has to offer. It was originally called North Port Charlotte because it is north of Port Charlotte--but the shortened name became the name simple North Port. There are all types of options in North Port from gated golf and country club communities, to homes on canals, to smaller gated enclave communities, to acreage areas(North Port Charlotte Estates), plus much of North Port offers no-HOA areas meaning you can have your RV or boat stored at your house.  If you want to hit the beach you can head to Englewood, Venice, or Nokomis. If you want to fish or kayak the fabulous rivers- the Myakka River has several launch places or drive a smidge further and enjoy the Peace River or  beautiful Charlotte Harbor. Do you enjoy Spring Training Baseball, several teams have their stadiums in the area. Atlanta Braves home is in Wellen Park (which is an annexed part of North Port). Plus, there are miles of trails to hike or bike in North Port.  Restaurants and shopping are gaining popularity for North Port, too. #MaryRayWestbrook
